A big thank you from Jennifer Koke, Camryn's mom:
"We had such a great day! Thank you so much for everything, it was truly beautiful! Please thank the children's choir for making Camryn feel so special. It is a day she will remember always, we can't thank you enough!"

All rehearsals are canceled for tonight (Wednesday) due to the weather and closure of Five Towns College.
Singers are advised to squeeze some practice time into their snow day and be ready for dress rehearsal at 5pm tomorrow!
Given the predicted weather forecast and the fact that it is already snowing in Nassau as of 8:30, Prelude rehearsal is canceled for tonight.
Rehearsal has been rescheduled for tomorrow, January 22, from 6:30-7:30pm, at Five Towns College.
We understand that this scheduling change is not ideal, we hope that you will make every effort to attend given the impending DHPAC performance. Please email Christine Califano and your conductor, Christa Braunreuther only if your child absolutely can not attend. Thank you in advance for your efforts!
Stay warm and safe tonight!
We have been working hard on putting together a performance schedule for the spring. Updates can be found on the events page as well as in the calendar. Subscribing to the blog can also be useful!
Here is a summary of scheduled performances, with details to follow as each date approaches:
May 3 - LI Ducks Game (all choirs, optional for Prelude)
May 10 - Long Island Rough Riders game (Lyric)
May 17 - Park Shore Carnival (Prelude & Harmonia, optional)
May 31 - Adelphi PAC with Gemini Youth Orchestra (Lyric)
June 8 - DHPAC Solo Showcase (by audition)
June 21 - Tilles Center Spring Semester Concert (all choirs)
If your child is planning to continue with the choir for the spring semester, please let us know as soon as possible by re-registering. No audition is required. The deadline for re-registration is January 27th!
New member auditions are being held Jan 28-29, and spring semester rehearsals start Feb. 4th for Prelude and Feb. 5th for Harmonia and Lyric. We hope to see you in the Spring!
The children sounded just beautiful singing God Bless America at the Islanders game on Saturday night. They were even broadcast on live television in NY and North Carolina!
While the children were terrific, we were as disappointed as some of you in the logistics of the evening. The Islanders host children's groups routinely and we thought the program would run more smoothly than it did. In the end, we hope you enjoyed the game and the opportunity for your children to perform before a local and national audience.
As you know, the children are also scheduled to perform at a Long Island Ducks game this spring. We will do everything we can to make the Ducks game this spring an even better experience.
